Role Objective

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Backend Developer to lead the development of our core server-side logic. You will be responsible for designing scalable architectures, managing complex databases, and ensuring the seamless integration of front-end elements with server-side logic.The ideal candidate is a Python expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in writing clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code.

Key Responsibilities

• API Design & Development: Architect and implement high-performance, RESTful APIs using FastAPI (or Flask/Django where applicable).
• System Architecture: Design and maintain scalable backend systems, ensuring low latency and high availability.
• Database Management: Optimize complex SQL queries, design database schemas, and ensure data integrity across relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Code Quality & Mentorship: Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers to maintain high engineering standards.
• Integration: Work closely with UI/UX developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and third-party APIs.
• DevOps Collaboration: Collaborate on deployment strategies, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipeline improvements.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Professional backend development experience with a focus on Python.

• Python Mastery: Deep understanding of Python internals, asynchronous programming (asyncio), and various design patterns.
• Web Frameworks: Expert-level knowledge of FastAPI; experience with Pydantic for data validation.
• Containerization (Docker): Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable deployments.
• Database Expertise: Expertise in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) for data storage and optimization. Strong proficiency in SQL and ORMs (like SQLAlchemy or Tortoise). Experience in database indexing and performance tuning is a must.
• Version Control: Advanced knowledge of Git (branching strategies, rebasing, and conflict resolution).
• Testing: Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Pytest or Unittest OR BDD using cucumber & Gherkin
• Modern Tooling: Familiarity with Redis (caching), and Celery (task queues).
• Soft SkillsOwnership: A "get-it-done" attitude with the ability to lead a project from conception to deployment.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to solve complex architectural challenges and pinpoint performance bottlenecks.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
