Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior 2D Draftsman to create precise technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and architects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in 2D drafting tools, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while supporting junior draftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Interpret and convert design concepts, sketches, and specifications into technical drawings.

Review and verify drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.

Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams for updates and revisions.

Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings.

Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and company guidelines.

Conduct quality checks and resolve drafting issues.

Support project execution by providing timely updates and revisions.

Mentor and guide junior draftsmen and trainees.

Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) if required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil / Mechanical / Architecture or related field.
• 35 years of experience in 2D drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
