SAS Developer

About Position:

We are looking for a skilled SAS Developer with over 5 years of experience and strong expertise in Base SAS, Advanced SAS, and UNIX environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAS maintenance and migration projects, along with strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This role involves working on end-to-end development, maintenance, and support of SAS applications across domains such as Finance, Banking, or Healthcare.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, maintain, and support SAS programs and batch jobs (daily, weekly, monthly cycles).
• Analyze existing SAS code, understand business logic, and implement enhancements or fixes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve job failures due to logic/code issues.
• Perform code modifications and enhancements based on changing business requirements.
• Ensure smooth execution and automation of SAS processes.
• Participate in requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Work with large datasets and perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SAS and SQL.
• Support SAS migration and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress and issues.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SAS Developer.
• Strong expertise in:
• Base SAS and Advanced SAS
• UNIX/Linux environment
• Experience with:
• SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG)
• Writing and managing batch jobs and scheduling
• Strong debugging and issue resolution skills.
• Experience in handling large datasets and data warehouses using SAS/SQL.
• Exposure to end-to-end SDLC (Requirement, Design, Development, Testing, Support).
• Domain experience in Finance / Banking / Healthcare.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
