Role & responsibilities

The SAP TM Consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting Transportation Management solutions in an S/4HANA environment. The role requires strong functional expertise, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to optimize logistics and transportation processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Functional Expertise & Configuration Configure SAP TM modules including Transportation Planning & Optimization Freight Order Management Charge Management / Settlement Carrier Selection & Tendering Transportation Execution & Monitoring Integrate TM with SAP ECC/S4 modules like SD, MM, LE, EWM, and FI.

2. Business Process Analysis Work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Analyze current logistics & transportation processes and propose system improvements. Conduct workshops for blueprinting and process design.

3. Project Implementation & Support Participate in end-to-end SAP TM implementations (blueprint, realization, testing, go-live, hypercare). Prepare functional documentation (FDS, test scripts, configuration documents). Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT, and support integration testing. Handle production support issues and ensure SLA compliance.

4. Integration & Technical Skills Work with technical teams on TMEWM, TMSD/MM, TMLE integration. Coordinate with PI/PO/CPI teams for required interfaces with external systems (carriers, 3PLs, freight platforms). Understand XML messaging, BOPF framework, PPF actions, and BRF+ configuration.

5. Stakeholder Interaction Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, procurement, warehouse, and finance. Provide training sessions and user guides for end users. Support change management activities. ---
