SAP Technical Consultant

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SAP Technical Consultant & ABAP Programmer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting custom SAP solutions, with a strong focus on ABAP programming. You will work closely with functional teams to ensure seamless integration, provide technical expertise, and assist in the successful execution of SAP projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP Development & Customization:
• Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, and enhancements to meet business requirements.
• Create and modify SAP objects including reports, user exits, BADI (Business Add-Ins), BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface), IDocs, ALV (ABAP List Viewer) reports, and interfaces.
• Develop custom forms using SAPscript and SmartForms.
• Design and implement custom workflows and solutions to improve business processes.

• Troubleshooting & Debugging:
• Analyze and troubleshoot ABAP programs, reports, and applications to resolve performance issues or bugs.
• Perform root cause analysis on errors, and propose efficient solutions for complex issues within the SAP environment.
• Use debugging tools and techniques to identify and fix issues in SAP objects and custom code.

• Integration & Enhancement:
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure smooth integration of SAP with third-party systems and external applications.
• Develop enhancements for standard SAP functionality as per business needs.

• SAP Performance Optimization:
• Optimize ABAP code for performance improvement (e.g., memory usage, database queries).
• Work on performance tuning for SAP applications and processes to improve system responsiveness.

• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for custom developments, enhancements, and troubleshooting steps.
• Create user manuals and provide training for end users when necessary.

• Project Support & Maintenance:
• Support SAP projects, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring technical consistency and quality.
• Assist with SAP system maintenance, patching, and version upgrades.
• Provide technical support for existing SAP applications, resolving incidents as per SLA.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in ABAP programming (Reports, Forms, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, etc.).
• Experience in working with SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP
• Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and SAP Fiori/UI5.
• Knowledge of integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, Web Services, ALE, etc.).
• Experience with debugging tools (ST22, SM37, SE80, etc.) and performance tuning.

• Troubleshooting & Debugging Expertise:
• Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting SAP applications.
• Proven track record of identifying root causes of issues and delivering effective solutions.

• Communication & Collaboration:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Experience & Education:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP development (ABAP programming, enhancements, troubleshooting).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP certification (e.g., SAP ABAP Certification) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Prior experience in supporting large-scale SAP implementations or migrations.
