SAP OTC Consultant Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP OTC Consultant to design, configure, implement, and support SAP solutions within the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process area. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP SD/OTC processes, integration with cross-functional modules, and experience delivering scalable business solutions in enterprise environments.
The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of OTC processes, including sales order management, pricing, billing, shipping, credit management, and integrations with finance and logistics modules to ensure seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities
SAP OTC / SD Configuration & Support
- Configure and support SAP OTC processes, including:
- Sales Order Management (SAP SD)
- Pricing Procedures and Condition Techniques
- Delivery, Shipping, and Transportation Processes
- Billing and Invoice Processing
- Credit Management and Risk Control
- Output Determination
Business Requirement Gathering
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
- Recommend best practices and process improvements aligned with SAP standards.
Solution Design & Integration
- Design and implement end-to-end OTC solutions aligned with business processes and organizational goals.
- Work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure seamless integration with:
- FI (Accounts Receivable)
- MM (Material Management)
- PP (Production Planning)
- Other SAP and third-party systems
Testing & Deployment
- Participate in:
- Unit Testing
- Integration Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Cutover Planning and Execution
- Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities during implementation and rollout phases.
Production Support & Issue Resolution
- Analyze and resolve production support issues with root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with technical teams for defect fixes and enhancements.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous process improvement recommendations.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Prepare and maintain:
- Functional Specifications (FS)
- Configuration Documents
- Test Scripts
- User Guides and Training Materials
- Conduct end-user training sessions and knowledge transfer activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP SD/OTC configuration and support.
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash business processes.
- Experience with:
- Pricing Procedures and Condition Records
- Billing and Invoice Processing
- Output Determination
- Credit Management
- Delivery and Shipping Processes
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration points with FI, MM, PP, and related modules.
- Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, or transformation project.
- Hands-on experience with integration technologies such as:
- IDocs
- File Transfer Interfaces
- Web Services
- APIs
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to support and incident management tools such as:
- JIRA
- ServiceNow
- SAP Solution Manager
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on SAP S/4HANA implementations, specifically in OTC/SD.
- Exposure to global template rollouts and large-scale transformation programs.
- Basic debugging knowledge and understanding of SAP technical concepts.
- SAP certification in SD or S/4HANA Sales preferred.
