Job Description: SAP MDG Consultant / Senior SAP MDG Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Consultant with 610 years of hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). The ideal candidate should possess strong functional and technical expertise across multiple MDG domains and be capable of understanding client requirements, preparing detailed design documentation, and delivering high-quality solutions within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into effective SAP MDG solutions.
• Prepare detailed Functional Design Documents (FSD), Technical Design Documents (TDD), and Unit Test documents for the implemented solutions.
• Lead requirement gathering workshops and support discussions around master data design, governance, and quality rules.
• Configure and enhance SAP MDG solutions across master data domains such as Material, Supplier, Customer, and Financial Master Data.
• Design, configure, and customize rule-based workflows using BRF+ / BRF Plus.
• Develop and enhance FPM configurations, UI customizations, UIBBs, home/landing pages, and related screen designs.
• Work on Web Dynpro applications and MDG-specific technical enhancements.
• Extend data models, custom entities, and attributes based on business needs.
• Define and implement data validations, derivations, and business rules.
• Work with Business Workflows, including parallel workflows.
• Manage Data Import Framework (DIF) and Data Replication Framework (DRF) activities.
• Support key mapping and value mapping processes.
• Develop reports and dashboards related to user statistics, material master cleansing, and data quality monitoring.
• Work on data profiling, transformations, data flow diagrams, and dashboard generation integrated with MDG.
• Develop technical solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP, BADI classes, and methods.
• Handle integrations using ALE/IDOCs, including distribution model, partner profiles, serialization, and error handling.
• Support SLA-driven processes including email notifications based on priorities.
• Deliver solution deployments aligned with business expectations while adhering to project deadlines.
• Work in both MDG Hub and Co-deployed environments.

• Expertise in creating:

• Strong experience in BRF+ / BRF Plus
• Expertise in Workflows
• Strong knowledge of FPM
• Strong experience with Web Dynpro
• Hands-on experience in Data Replication Framework (DRF)
• Strong experience with ALE/IDOC
• Strong development expertise in OO ABAP
• Experience in Data Quality, Data Validation, and Derivations
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as a consultant and take on team lead responsibilities

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in Address Standardization
• Knowledge of DQM (Data Quality Management)
• Experience in Dashboards and Reporting
• Knowledge of SLA-based notifications
• Experience working in MDG Hub and Co-deployed environments

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant SAP MDG certification is preferred
