Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS SAP Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the SAP EHS system to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role involves collaborating with various departments to implement and maintain EHS processes and standards within the SAP framework.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP EHS Module Management: Administer and maintain the SAP EHS module, ensuring it meets organizational needs and complies with regulatory requirements.
• System Configuration and Optimization: Configure and optimize the SAP EHS system to enhance functionality, streamline processes, and improve data accuracy.
• Data Management: Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of EHS data within the SAP system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Compliance and Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users on the SAP EHS module, including developing training materials and conducting workshops.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the SAP EHS system.
• Project Management: Lead and participate in EHS SAP-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT, EHS, and other relevant departments to integrate and align EHS processes within the overall SAP environment.
• Risk Management: Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating EHS risks using the SAP EHS module.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in EHS management, with at least 2+ years of experience working with SAP EHS modules.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP EHS module configuration and management. Familiarity with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP PM, SAP QM) is a plus.
• Ability to configure waste management, transportation, disposal, dangerous goods management, and workplace safety.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively train and support end users.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP EHS Certification, Certified Safety Professional) are preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Office-based with occasional site visits as required.
• Travel: Minimal travel may be required for training or project purposes.
• Hours: Standard business hours with occasional extended hours based on project needs.
