About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Technical Security Lead to drive security governance, vulnerability management, platform hardening, patch management, audit remediation, and operational resilience across hybrid SAP landscapes, including SAP RISE (S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition) and on-premise environments.

The role will work closely with SAP Basis teams, Cybersecurity, Audit, Cloud, Infrastructure, SAP RISE providers, and Managed Service Partners to ensure secure, compliant, resilient, and supportable SAP operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP Basis technical security operations across SAP RISE and hybrid SAP environments.
• Drive vulnerability assessment, remediation, and closure across SAP, databases, OS, and infrastructure layers.
• Govern SAP Security Notes, Kernel Upgrades, Database Patching, and maintenance strategies.
• Define and enforce SAP, HANA, and OS hardening standards and secure configuration baselines.
• Coordinate remediation of findings from audits, penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews.
• Govern backup, recovery, disaster recovery, high availability, and operational resilience controls.
• Design and oversee ITGC controls, privileged access management, and emergency access governance.
• Manage security and operational responsibilities across SAP-managed and customer-managed environments within SAP RISE.
• Monitor and govern SLAs/KPIs related to patching, remediation, backups, resilience, and platform security.
• Lead coordination across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, Audit, SAP Basis, and Managed Service teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Lead and mentor teams while managing key stakeholder relationships.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• SAP Basis & Security
• 7+ years of SAP Basis administration experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience in SAP Basis Technical Security.

Strong expertise in:

• SAP Security Notes
• Vulnerability Remediation
• Kernel & Database Patching
• SAP/HANA/OS Hardening
• Backup & Recovery Governance
• Technical Security Controls
• Operational Resilience

SAP Landscape Experience:

• SAP RISE (S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition)
• Hybrid SAP Environments (Cloud + On-Prem)
• SAP HANA, Oracle, MSSQL
• Linux and Windows environments

Audit & Governance:

• Mandatory experience working with Audit teams.
• Experience in Penetration Test Remediation and Audit Remediation.
• ITGC Controls and Security Governance.
• Privileged Access & Emergency Access Governance.

Operations & Leadership:

• Experience managing patching strategies, DR, HA, backup governance, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Experience coordinating Managed Service Providers and cross-functional teams.
• Mandatory Team Handling experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
