SAP Basis

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant with 6–10 years of expertise in SAP system administration, installation, configuration, and support. The candidate should have hands-on experience in managing SAP landscapes and working in S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.)
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Manage SAP transport management system (TMS) and system refreshes
• Execute client copies, system copies, and database refresh activities
• Handle SAP upgrades, patching, and kernel updates
• Support S/4HANA migration and conversion projects
• Monitor and manage background jobs, dumps, logs, and system health
• Work on user administration and role management (basic level)
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and infrastructure teams
• Maintain detailed documentation of BASIS activities

Required Skills

• Strong experience in:
  • SAP BASIS administration and system lifecycle management
  • SAP installations and upgrades
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
• Hands-on experience with:
  • SAP HANA database administration (basic to intermediate)
  • Transport Management System (TMS)
  • System copy & refresh procedures
• Knowledge of:
  • OS/DB (Linux/Unix, Oracle, HANA, etc.)
  • SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)
• Familiarity with:
  • SAP Fiori administration
  • Security and user management basics

Preferred Skills

• Experience in S/4HANA system conversion/migration
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR) setup
• Exposure to SAP Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) environments
• Experience with SAP ChaRM / ITSM (Solution Manager)
• SAP BASIS or HANA certification
