Job Description: SAP ABAP Consultant / Senior SAP ABAP Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 6+ years of SAP experience and proven expertise in working on multiple SAP ABAP implementation and support projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical capabilities across core ABAP objects, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to work as both an individual contributor and team lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions and functional specifications.
• Develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP technical components based on business and functional requirements.
• Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD) and Unit Test documents for developed solutions.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP implementation and support projects.
• Work on Unit Testing and Integration Testing to ensure quality and stability of deliverables.
• Provide user support activities and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Interact regularly with onsite teams and clients to discuss requirements, progress, and issue resolution.
• Provide status updates in daily and weekly conference calls.
• Maintain a strong and professional relationship with clients and onsite stakeholders.
• Develop and support technical objects including:
• Forms SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms
• Reports ALV and Classical Reports
• Interfaces ALE/IDOC, BAPI
• Conversions LSMW, BDC
• Enhancements User Exits, BADI, Enhancement Spots
• Workflows Development and Configuration
• OData Services Creation and implementation using SAP OData Framework
• Build and enhance OData services using NetWeaver Gateway and ABAP.
• Work with Object-Oriented ABAP for scalable and reusable development.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Follow structured project delivery and support methodologies such as ASAP and ITIL.

Mandatory Skills

• 6+ years of SAP ABAP experience

• Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and consulting skills
• Ability to take up team lead responsibilities

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SAP Web IDE
• Experience with Eclipse
• Exposure to ASAP methodology
• Understanding of ITIL methodologies

Preferred Functional / Technical Expertise

• Good experience in support project lifecycle activities
• Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and user support
• Experience in working closely with onsite teams and clients
• Ability to handle multiple deliverables while maintaining quality and timelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver technical solutions aligned with business expectations

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant SAP ABAP certification is preferred
