Job Description

About the Role

Our Client is looking for a Business Development Engineer to join Sales & Marketing team. Reporting to the Team Lead (TL) or Regional Manager (RM), you will be the face of the company for your allocated territory. You will be responsible for driving market penetration, managing the "toll-gate" progress of key accounts, and ensuring that our Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) are effectively communicated to a technical audience.

Technical & Professional Competencies

  • Education: BE/B.Tech is mandatory. Preferred specialization in Mechanical Engineering, though Electronics or Automobile backgrounds will be considered.
  • Experience: [25 years] in technical sales or business development (customer OEM only).
  • Sales Attitude: A highly aggressive, results-oriented sales approach.
  • Soft Skills: Must be well-presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strategic working relationships.
  • Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the local market; residency in the immediate area is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Territory Ownership: Execute all sales and marketing activities within allocated accounts/territories.
  • Budgeting: Formulate (bottom up), review, and monitor annual and monthly sales budgets for your customer base.
  • Order Execution: Ensure correct execution of customer orders and guarantee timely deliveries in line with order confirmations.
  • AR Management: Maintain a strict focus on Account Receivable (AR) realization according to established credit limits.

Strategic Growth

  • Project Monitoring: Closely monitor the "toll-gate" progress of accounts and work with leadership on account development.
  • Market Research: Identify new short-term and long-term growth opportunities through proactive market research.
  • Share of Business: Enhance customer satisfaction to increase our share of business and improve market penetration.

Operational Support

  • Technical Proposals: Assist Internal Sales Partners (ISP) in preparing specific techno-commercial proposals.
  • Marketing Implementation: Execute marketing plans as finalized by the Regional Manager.
  • KPI Accountability: Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by the ASM/TL.
