You will gain practical experience in backend systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure while contributing to our digital product ecosystem.

Role Description

We are seeking a talented Rust Backend Developer for a full-time role based in Bengaluru or Mohali. The developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backend systems using Rust. Day-to-day tasks include developing server-side logic, optimizing application performance, debugging and resolving issues, and collaborating with the front-end team to ensure alignment. Additionally, responsibilities include implementing security and data protection measures to ensure robust and scalable application infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Rust.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under mentorship.

Collaborate with frontend, design, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.

Implement and optimize database queries (SQL/NoSQL) for performance and scalability.

Design and maintain caching layers to improve application performance.

Debug, test, and optimize backend services for reliability.

Learn and apply best practices in software architecture, security, and CI/CD.

Stay updated with the Rust ecosystem and backend development trends.

Required skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with Rust programming language (through projects, internships, or academics).

Understanding of backend concepts: REST APIs, authentication, microservices.

Exposure to databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL alternatives).

Basic understanding of caching techniques (Redis, in-memory, or similar).

Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.

Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus (Nice to Have)

Experience with async Rust frameworks (e.g., Actix, Axum, or Rocket).

Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud platforms.

Knowledge of message queues, background jobs, or event-driven architectures.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to Actix, Rocket, or Axum frameworks.

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Understanding of event-driven architecture / message queues.

Experience with testing and debugging in Rust.

Contributions to open-source or personal Rust projects.
