Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer who is passionate about building innovative web applications. The ideal candidate will work with our development team to design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails and related technologies.

What you will do.

*Help design, build, and maintain reliable Ruby on Rails code

* Create and maintain software documentation

* Collaborate with the design and product development teams to establish objectives and come up with solutions

* Identify bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues

* Help maintain code quality, organization, and use automation

* Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

* 7+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails framework

* Strong knowledge of Ruby programming language

* Experience with Rails testing frameworks (RSpec)

* Understanding of MVC design patterns

* Familiarity with ORM libraries (Active Record)

* Good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery)

* Experience with creating and maintaining RESTful APIs

* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)

* Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL)

* Familiarity with background processing (Sidekiq)

* Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application

* Experience with Agile development methodologies

* Problem-solving aptitude

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Haves

* Experience with Stimulus controllers

* Understanding of Docker and containerization

* Experience with AWS, specifically the ECS, EKS services

* Some DevOps experience

* Knowledge of ElasticSearch

* Knowledge of kubernetes
