We are seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment & Reliability Engineer to support day-to-day FPSO operations on Ruby FPSO, ensuring that turbines, compressors, and critical rotating systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with performance standards.
You will play a key role in performance monitoring, reliability improvement, incident analysis, and offshore technical leadership.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
- Act as the Technical Advisor for Rotating Equipment & Reliability supporting FPSO Operations, OPS standards, and Maintenance Management
- Continuously monitor FPSO performance and recommend corrective or improvement actions
- Ensure high standards of reliability and maintenance for turbines, compressors, and critical rotating equipment
- Support compliance with OCS, industry, class, flag state, and regulatory mechanical requirements
- Lead shutdown and breakdown reviews and coordinate remedial actions with the Facility Engineer
- Prepare and review operating and maintenance procedures
- Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Review and approve relevant Management of Change (MoC) documentation
- Conduct periodic competency assessments of offshore rotating equipment leads and technicians
- Respond to client technical queries related to rotating machinery
- Maintain and update the Lessons Learned Register from breakdowns, MoCs, audits, and surveys
- Participate in periodic inspections of Ex-rated mechanical equipment in compliance with regulatory standards
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience
- 1012 years of experience in rotating equipment operations and maintenance
- Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas or a closely related industry
- Strong expertise in gas turbines and compressors
- Very good working knowledge of high-pressure gas systems
- Offshore / FPSO experience is preferred
- Familiarity with modelling tools such as HYSYS
- Experience with simulation platforms, databases, and maintenance management systems
- Exposure to offshore commissioning and operations
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and multinational teams is desirable
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of FPSO marine and process systems
- Very good knowledge of offshore rules and regulations (Class, Flag State, international codes & standards)
- Understanding of cross-discipline engineering interfaces
- Familiarity with simulation and visualization tools such as PI Vision / Process Book
- Knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP or IFS
- Internal auditor capability is an advantage

Work Environment
This role requires a deep understanding of FPSO rotating systems and procedures. Frequent offshore assignments are expected (minimum once every three months).
