Rooftop & Solar Park Designer

Are you passionate about renewable energy and solar design? We are looking for a skilled Rooftop & Solar Park Designer to join our team and contribute to building efficient, sustainable solar solutions across residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar PV systems, conducting site assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solar projects.

Key Responsibilities

Rooftop Solar Design:

• Conduct site surveys to evaluate roof structure, orientation, and shading
• Design efficient rooftop PV layouts considering safety and load capacity
• Prepare electrical single-line diagrams and wiring layouts
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety, and net-metering regulations
• Coordinate with customers, installers, and utility providers
• Optimize system size based on energy requirements and available space

Solar Park (Utility-Scale) Design:

• Perform land feasibility studies (topography, soil, environmental impact)
• Design ground-mounted PV layouts with optimal tilt and spacing
• Conduct energy yield analysis using tools like PVsyst/Helioscope
• Prepare grid integration studies, substation layouts, and transmission plans
• Ensure compliance with renewable energy standards and IEC guidelines
• Collaborate with EPC teams, civil engineers, and consultants

Additional Requirements

• Experience in Balance of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Willingness to travel across India for site visits

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of solar PV systems and grid-connected solutions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, GIS tools
• Knowledge of electrical engineering and grid codes
• Familiarity with regulatory and environmental frameworks
• Good project management and stakeholder communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
• Relevant certifications in solar design or project management are a plus
