About the Role
Were looking for a D2C Retention Marketer who understands that growth doesnt stop at the first purchase.
Your core responsibility will be to drive repeat purchases, increase customer LTV, and improve engagement through lifecycle marketing channels like WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and CRM automation.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where youll build lifecycle flows, launch campaigns, analyze cohorts, and continuously optimize retention performance.
What Youll Own
Lifecycle & Retention Strategy
Own and scale retention programs to drive repeat purchase and long-term customer value. Design and execute end-to-end lifecycle journeys across WhatsApp, Email, and SMS, with a strong focus on improving repeat rate, LTV, and retention-led revenue.
WhatsApp Marketing (Core Focus)
Build and manage high-performing WhatsApp automation flows, including welcome journeys, abandoned browse/cart/checkout flows, post-purchase communication, and reorder/replenishment nudges. Run segmented broadcast campaigns and continuously optimize messaging, timing, frequency, and CTAs for higher conversions.
CRM, Segmentation & Cohort Analysis
Leverage CRM data to segment users based on behavior, purchase frequency, and lifecycle stage. Perform cohort analysis to identify drop-offs and growth opportunities. Track and report key metrics such as repeat purchase rate, engagement, and revenue contribution from retention channels.
Campaign Execution & Optimization
Plan, launch, and optimize lifecycle campaigns across channels, ensuring all flows and campaigns are data-driven, scalable, and conversion-focused. Continuously iterate based on performance insights.
Who You Are
Were looking for strong D2C Retention / CRM Marketing professionals with a bias for execution and data-driven decision-making.
You bring:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in D2C retention marketing for e-commerce or consumer brands
- Proven experience in building and executing lifecycle journeys across WhatsApp, Email, and SMS (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement)
- Strong expertise in WhatsApp marketing & automation (chatbot flows, broadcasts, segmentation, conversion optimization)
- Solid understanding of retention metrics such as Repeat Purchase Rate, LTV, engagement, and retention revenue
- Experience working with CRM data, user segmentation, and cohort analysis
Tools & Systems:
- Hands-on experience with tools like Klaviyo (Email/SMS), CleverTap / WebEngage, WhatsApp automation platforms, and CRM systems
- Ability to build and manage scalable, automated retention workflows
Domain Requirement:
- Prior experience in D2C / E-commerce / consumer brands is mandatory (in-house experience preferred)
