Job Description

Lead a high-performing Investment Banking Operations team to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely outcomes while driving tight controls, reporting transparency, and stakeholder confidence.

As an Reference Data Associate within Investment Banking Operations, you lead day-to-day delivery, issue resolution, and controls execution to ensure accurate and compliant processing. You coordinate across internal partners (e.g., Client Service, Legal) to resolve disputes within agreed timelines while maintaining strong stakeholder communication. You drive reporting, scorecards, workflow monitoring, and capacity/contingency planning to meet internal SLAs and business needs.

 

Job Responsibilities :

  • Proactively identify issues and coordinate with relevant internal functions (e.g., Client Service professionals, Legal) to resolve disputed points within set time-frame parameters.
  • Deliver process controls to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory rules and internal standards.
  • Resolve issues in a time-bound fashion and provide regular updates to senior management across BAU and projects/initiatives.
  • Generate reports and scorecards, present insights in operations calls, and support capacity and contingency planning.
  • Monitor workflow and assist Team Leaders to enable equitable distribution of work.
  • Manage internal Service Level Agreements and communicate performance to stakeholders through effective reporting.
  • Work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.

 

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities :

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, and Project.
  • Strong understanding of a global bank’s operations environment, including management and external reporting, with Investment Banking process and system knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of high achievers with diverse experience and skill sets using a strategic approach.
  • Inclusive leadership capability to identify talent, recruit, coach, mentor, and develop team members while balancing BAU delivery and projects with strong attention to detail.

 

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities :

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate qualification.
  • 8+ years of experience in operations.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated team management experience.
