R&D Scientist (LFP-Cathode Active Material)

Nexera Chem is an advanced materials startup developing next-generation cathode formulations. We are seeking a hands-on R&D Scientist. We need a professional who is driven by the discipline of batch-to-batch iteration and the technical challenge of optimizing material performance to meet stringent client specifications.

What You Will Do:

• Precision Synthesis: Ownership of daily LFP batch production, refining process parameters to hit morphology and phase-purity targets.
• Electrochemical Diagnostics: Perform in-depth analysis (charge-discharge profiling, cycle life, rate capability) to identify root causes of performance fade.
• Client-Centric Iteration: Translate feedback from cell manufacturers into material design adjustments for successful qualification.
• Data-Driven R&D: Utilize XRD, SEM, and BET data alongside electrochemical results to drive the next days parameters.
• Direct Strategic Impact: Report directly to the CEO to translate lab-scale breakthroughs into company-wide technical milestones and client-facing performance guarantees.

What You Gain: While your core focus is the daily R&D cycle, you will naturally be integral to our transition from kilo-scale to a 250 TPA pilot line, providing end-to-end exposure to industrial scale-up.

What You Bring:

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Solid-State Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in active material synthesis and powder processing.
• Analytical mastery of electrochemical testing and characterization data (XRD, SEM, TEM).
