Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Quotation Engineer with strong expertise in tooling costing and RFQ management for Injection Molds and Die Casting molds, Checking fixture, Cutting tool, The role involves end-to-end handling of quotation processesfrom feasibility analysis to final submissionensuring accurate costing, competitive pricing, and alignment with technical and manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with design, tool room, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver precise and timely quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze 2D/3D drawings and evaluate feasibility for tooling and part development
• Prepare quotations for:
• Injection moulds
• Die casting dies
• Develop preliminary mould layout concepts for accurate costing
• Prepare detailed cost breakdown including:
• Core & cavity
• Hot runner systems
• Raw materials
• Machining & processing costs
• Cycle time estimation
• Handle RFQs end-to-end (feasibility to final submission)
• Coordinate with design team, tool room, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain:
• BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Cost sheets & quotation presentations
• CAD comparison reports
• Track raw material pricing trends and update costing accordingly
• Support trial and production sample planning when required

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of Injection Moulding and/or Die Casting processes
• Hands-on experience in tooling costing, estimation & RFQ handling
• Knowledge of tool construction and mould design fundamentals
• Familiarity with hot runner systems and material selection
• Proficiency in MS Excel for costing and analysis
• Working knowledge of UG NX / AutoCAD / CATIA (preferred)
• Strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills

Candidate Profile:

• 510 years of experience in tool quotation / costing
• Background in:
• Plastic injection moulding OR
• Die casting tooling OR
• Tool room / mould manufacturing
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple RFQs and meet tight deadlines
