Quality Specialist

The Quality Reactive Leader is direct report to the regional In Field Quality resp.le and leads the Quality Reactive Teams based in the assigned countries.

He owns the technical triage process of all the systemic issues that cannot be addressed easily to a specific cluster of reference (Manufacturing, Supplier, Engineering) in first triage done by Control Tower/QPEL and the related escalation processes (RACE/TOP QUALITY, TSO).

• Any meeting from Quality/QPEL dealing with model field quality issues
• Owns the RACE weekly meetings where he drives the assignment of the target champion, following his Team technical analysis result
• All the escalation meetings done by quality on RACE/TOP Quality issues
• All the escalation meetings done by Technical Service on unsolved issues
• Any stakeholder meeting where a deep dive on specific topic is requested, as support to the In Field Quality resp.le to give technical background on the topics discussed

Operational context

• The holder of this position must keep high efficiency of the issue technical triage, to minimize any roadblock and ensure timely finalization of the target champion according to the KPI assigned
• Works with Validation group to ensure access to any instrumentation and in vehicle test to support the technical analysis of the issue with the most appropriate tools and techniques
• The position requires accountability and leadership so to meet quality requirements

Deliverables

• Leads its own team through the adoption of functional KPI to monitor the efficiency of its group and put in place actions to grant level of service requested
• Support resolution of systemic/epidemics or major quality issues (RACE, Top Warranty, .) finalizing the technical triage to allow to identify the right champion for the issue
• He is fully accountable for the issues that he is managing in his perimeter, knowing the related quality KPI, the customer impact and the technical background
• Ensure the timing update of the PDCA systems issues tickets
• Drive the problem-solving process using the appropriate tools with rigorous approach

Requested skills

• Bachelor's degree (BAC+3) or higher in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university (other Engineering degrees, in combination with relevant experience may be considered)
• Preferably 10 years relevant experience in the cluster assigned both from quality or engineering area, minimum 5 years requested.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated and directed
• Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projects
• Rigorous and pragmatic
• Capable to provide high level summary in the most effective format using the most common tools
• Ability to lead an Engineering team to deliver technical triage in timely manner, with groups located in multiple countries
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions with knowledge of the most common problem-solving tools. Problem solving black belt certification is required, master black belt level is preferable but not mandatory for the role.
• Languages: English (C2 minimum level required). The knowledge of French/German language is preferable but not mandatory for the role
