The Product Highway is an AI-native product strategy and engineering firm that partners with businesses from the earliest spark of an idea all the way through to enterprise scale. We grew from zero to multi-million ARR within our first year, working with clients across India, APAC, Europe, and North America.

The conventional product/software industry is coming to an end. The line between product development and business development is disappearing. AI got very good at the how shipping code faster than ever. But almost nothing has changed in the what: deciding what to build, why, and in what order. That's where we live. We believe software is an approximation of the real world, and what matters isn't lines of code or sprint velocity it's whether the solution actually maps to how a business works, how customers think, and how value gets created.

From in-house AI project managers to near-universal adoption of tools like Cursor and Claude, we've rethought every conventional process from first principles. AI isn't a feature we offer it's how we think, build, and deliver. The result: legacy systems rebuilt in under 6 months, enterprise platforms built in under 3, mobile applications shipped in under 1.

We only take on problems we find genuinely interesting and worthy of being solved, and we refuse to ship anything we wouldn't stand behind. Every hire gets us closer to that standard.

Who we're looking for

Regardless of role, every person at TPH shares these traits:

• End-to-end owners. You own outcomes, not tasks. If something you're responsible for falls through a crack, that's on you not because someone assigned it, but because you wouldn't have it any other way.
• Clear, direct communicators. Bad news doesn't get better with age. Context doesn't transfer through vague Slack messages. You surface problems early and communicate with precision.
• Uncompromising on quality. You have a quality bar that's yours, not your manager's. You won't ship something you wouldn't stand behind, even under deadline pressure.
• AI-obsessed. You see AI as how work gets done, not a nice-to-have. If you're still doing something manually that AI could handle, you feel that as friction, not normalcy.
• Structured thinkers. When faced with an ambiguous problem, you break it down, reason through the trade-offs, and arrive at a position not wait for someone to tell you the answer.
• Experienced enough to use AI systematically. You have enough depth in your craft that AI makes you dangerous, not dependent. You direct it, evaluate its output, and know when it's wrong.

We are looking for a QA Engineer who can go beyond traditional testing and actively contribute to building a strong quality culture within the team. As our product and engineering teams grow, we need someone who can ensure product reliability, improve testing processes, support automation initiatives, and help us ship high-quality releases with confidence.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative startup environment, takes ownership of quality, and is excited about leveraging AI-native workflows and modern QA practices to improve speed, efficiency, and product excellence.

What youll do

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile (iOS & Android) and web applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, severity, and priority using issue tracking tools (e.g., Clickup).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers in Agile sprints to ensure quality at every stage of the SDLC.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Conduct API and backend testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Support and contribute to automation test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
• Participate actively in sprint ceremonies - standups, planning, retrospectives - and advocate for quality throughout.
• Monitor and analyse defect trends and provide actionable quality metrics and reports.
• Be available for urgent issues and critical testing tasks outside of regular business hours when required.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tooling, and test coverage.

Must-haves

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing for both mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices (STLC, SDLC, black-box, white-box, etc.).
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.
• Hands-on experience with test management and bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Clickup.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing and experience contributing to or maintaining automated test suites.
• Familiar with backend/API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to clearly articulate issues and quality status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Great organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

Strong pluses

• Previous experience at a startup or in a product-focused company.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into automated build pipelines.
• Knowledge of performance, load, or security testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Prefers candidates who can join immediately.

AI Native Expectations

• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar to improve QA productivity, test coverage, debugging, and documentation.
• Ability to leverage AI for generating test cases, exploratory testing ideas, automation support, API validation, and faster bug analysis.
• Proactive in adopting AI-driven workflows to improve testing efficiency and reduce repetitive manual efforts.
• Strong curiosity toward emerging AI tools, automation practices, and modern QA workflows.
• Ability to critically validate AI-generated outputs and ensure accuracy, reliability, and product quality.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, AI-enabled product environment with high ownership and adaptability.

• You prefer highly structured environments with narrowly defined responsibilities.
• You are not comfortable collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• You struggle with proactive communication, independent problem-solving, or accountability.
• You are unwilling to handle urgent production issues or support critical testing needs when required.
• You are resistant to adopting new tools, technologies, or process improvements.
• You are not comfortable using AI tools as part of your daily workflow.
