Role Description

We are hiring a commercially sharp QS & Billing Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of core contracting experience. You will take complete ownership of client billing, subcontractor billing, cash flow tracking, and strict cost management for both civil structure and high-end commercial finishes.

The role involves managing the billing process, preparing invoices, monitoring client billing activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Billing & Variations: Prepare, submit, and clear accurate monthly running account (RA) bills with client PMCs. Identify, document, and claim variation orders for extra items.
• Subcontractor & PRW Billing: Verify, certify, and process accurate bills for Piece-Rate Workmen (PRW) and vendors based on actual site joint measurements.
• Cost Management & Budgeting: Monitor project cash flow, track actual spending against the budgeted cost, and prepare Monthly Cost Reports (MCR) to flag budget overruns.
• Material Reconciliation: Perform strict weekly and monthly reconciliation of high-value materials (steel, cement, premium finishes) against Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and theoretical consumption to stop pilferage.
• Quantity Take-off: Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from structural, architectural, and finishing drawings to update the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Requirements

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of core QS and Billing experience working directly with Tier-1, Tier-2, or regional contracting firms.
• Project Exposure: Must have handled QS/billing for commercial buildings (IT Parks, offices, or malls) covering both civil structures and high-end finishes.
• Technical Skills: Advanced mastery of Excel, AutoCAD, structural drawings, BBS reconciliation, and standard Indian Standard (IS) codes for measurement (IS 1200).
• Core Traits: High commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills under pressure, and absolute accuracy in data.
