QE Coordinator

What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):

The QE Coordinator is accountable for leading and managing quality engineering and assurance activities across API and gRPC -driven and distributed systems. This role focuses heavily on API testing, gRPC services validation, and database (SQL) verification, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of backend systems. You will work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to design robust API and gRPC test frameworks, implement automation strategies, and mentor QA teams.

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of quality engineering and software testing for assigned projects or initiatives This role ensures rigorous adherence to QA/QE standards, manages testing teams, and drives the implementation of automation and innovative solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The QE Coordinator adds value by providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies

How Youll Succeed (Responsibilities):

Testing Coordination & Execution:

• Develop, publish, and execute test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, virtualization, status reports, defect and exit reports.
• Identify and obtain required test data and test environments.
• Track and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity and defect slippage.

Defect & Compliance Management:

• Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
• Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards.
• Recognize and identify areas for process, policy, or tool improvement.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide input, feedback, and challenge to technical designs and assess impacts to testing.
• Identify and implement automation or other emerging solutions to expedite testing and improve quality.
• Lead the adoption of automation frameworks and tools.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Collaborates with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Works closely with development teams to provide feedback on technical designs and assess testing impacts.
• Interacts with external vendors and tool providers to evaluate and integrate testing solutions.
• Partners with other QA/QE professionals across the organization to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Experience: 3+ years of experience.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

• API, gRPC testing, Database Testing (SQL), Automation framework development for APIs.

Must Have Skills:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Validate end-to-end tests for API and microservices-based systems.
• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for REST API and gRPC services.
• Validate data integrity through complex SQL queries and database testing.
• Contribute to test automation across functional, integration, and regression layers. Ability to write and execute automation test cases, build object repositories, and develop custom functions.
• Perform API testing using tools and custom frameworks.
• Develop and maintain gRPC testing strategies, including protobuf validation.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability testing for APIs.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct root cause analysis and improve defect prevention strategies.
• Work with stakeholders to define quality metrics and reporting.
• Experience in programming languages for automation (Python, Java, JavaScript)
• Experience with version control systems eg, Git, GitHub Copilot, CI/CD tools, Jenkins, and a variety of API and database testing tools: Parasoft SOATest, Postman, Swagger, DB Visualizer, TOAD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Quality management and assurance expertise.

Good to have Skills:

• Familiarity with core banking systems and cross-platform integrations.
• UNIX/batch testing skills, including running and verifying batch jobs, reports, and data Loads, ETL process verification.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of observability tools (logs, tracing, monitoring).
• experience testing event-driven systems (Kafka, messaging queues).
