QA Engineer – Networking & Security Testing

Job Title: QA Engineer Manual Testing (Networking)

Experience: 2+ Years

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience and basic networking knowledge. The ideal candidate should understand OSI & TCP/IP models and be capable of validating network-based applications in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and sanity testing
• Validate networking components such as routers, switches, VLANs, and protocols
• Analyze issues across OSI & TCP/IP layers
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira/Zoho
• Collaborate with Development, Product, and Network teams
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Maintain test documentation and reports

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Manual Testing
• Good understanding of SDLC/STLC concepts
• Knowledge of Networking fundamentals (OSI, TCP/IP)
• Experience in Functional & Regression Testing
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira or Zoho
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Good to Have

• Basic automation knowledge using Python/Selenium
• Understanding of firewall & security testing
• Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6
• Exposure to scripting and packet analysis tools

Preferred Candidate

• Immediate to short joiners preferred
• Experience working in Agile environments is a plus
