Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python Sr Software Engineer/ Python Lead. The ideal

candidate will have strong hands-on Python development experience, deep understanding of

production support and proven leadership skills. This role combines technical problem-solving

with team leadership to ensure high availability, performance and continuous improvement of

business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Python Application development team, providing technical guidance and
• mentorship
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex application and production issues
• Review code, support deployments and ensure best practices in coding, logging, and error
• handling
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues and incidents in a
• timely manner
• Develop, maintain and enhance Python-based applications and support tools
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, incident management processes and root cause analysis (RCA)
• practices
• Collaborate with development, QA and business teams to improve application stability and
• reliability
• Write and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and routine operational tasks.
• Perform analysis using Linux command-line tools and application logs.
• Drive proactive monitoring, alerting and automation to reduce recurring issues
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support procedures
• Participate in on-call rotations and oversee incident response when required

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development
• Strong experience in production troubleshooting and incident management
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a technical support or development team
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and backend systems
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and basic system-level troubleshooting
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (bash/sh). Understanding of networking fundamentals
• (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, connectivity).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
