Role Summary:

The People Manager PR & ORM will oversee the company's public relations activities, manage online reputation, lead a team of PR and ORM professionals, and serve as the key liaison across internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, strong media relations & stakeholder management capability, and the ability to translate corporate objectives into impactful media and online narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Relations (PR):


  • Develop and execute integrated PR and corporate communication strategies to strengthen BPTP's brand reputation, visibility, and market positioning.
  • Build and nurture relationships with media, journalists, editors, industry bodies, and key influencers.
  • Drive proactive media engagement through press releases, media briefings, interviews, press conferences, project launch communications, and corporate announcements.
  • Develop and manage an annual PR calendar aligned with business milestones, project launches, leadership announcements, awards, and CSR initiatives.
  • Monitor media coverage, industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments, providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead crisis communication planning and response, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging during sensitive situations.
  • Manage award nominations, industry recognitions, and speaking opportunities to enhance corporate and leadership visibility.


Content Strategy & Creation:


  • Develop and implement a content strategy aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
  • Create and oversee high-quality content including press releases, media articles, leadership bylines, opinion pieces, speeches and key messages.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives for senior leadership and CXOs by identifying relevant industry trends, commentary opportunities, and speaking platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to create compelling narratives around projects, market trends, customer experiences, innovation, and business milestones.
  • Lead communication initiatives for BPTP Foundation and CSR programs, creating impactful stories, beneficiary narratives, and social impact content to strengthen stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice, messaging, and communication standards across all external channels.


Online Reputation Management (ORM):

  • Monitor, manage, and enhance the companys online presence across news articles, review platforms, and digital forums.
  • Address customer feedback, negative comments, and online crises in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop content strategies that positively influence the companys online image.
  • Analyze ORM performance metrics and provide actionable insights.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between PR/ORM functions and senior leadership, keeping them informed of media trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Legal, CRM, Leadership/CXOs) to ensure messaging consistency and timely sign-offs.
  • Manage external stakeholders including PR agencies, media houses, journalists, influencers, and event partners to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally during crisis situations, ensuring aligned and timely communication across all stakeholders.
  • Present periodic PR/ORM performance updates and strategic recommendations to leadership and other relevant stakeholders.


Measurement & Reporting


  • Track and report key communication metrics including media coverage, share of voice, message penetration, sentiment analysis, reputation scores, and leadership visibility.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual communication performance reports with strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in PR, ORM, or corporate communications (812 years preferred, with at least 35 years in a managerial role).
  • Strong media relations and crisis communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, digital analytics, and ORM tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to strategize, plan, and execute PR campaigns effectively.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
