Position: Proposal Engineer (Process)

Qualification: Minimum Bachelors in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering with 10+

years of experience.

Location: Office Based, Surat or Vadodara, India.

Skills: Hysys, Unisim, AutoCad or Cad (2D).

Job Description:

Extensive experience working on process simulators such as Aspen Hysys / Unisim.

simulating process packages such as Gas Dehydration (TEG / Molecular Sieve etc),

Separators, Exchangers, Pumps, Columns etc, familiarity with all equipments used in

Upstream Oil & Gas Industry. Knowledge of other gas processing Technologies such as

gas sweetening removal of H2S / CO2 using Amines / Catalyst Bed, gas dew-pointing

and condensate stabilization is an added plus. Experience in Oil and Produced Water

treating is also desirable. Project experience or leading firm bids of atleast one off of the

above units from ITT to execution is valuable.

Estimating experience is a must, should have extensive experience working on

estimation of skidded Oil & Gas process packages. Should have experience in carbon

steel and alloys such as SS and DSS.

Review of ITT/RFQs, be able to quickly read through and qualify required

specifications to be achieved, identify process packages required for meeting outlet

product specifications, and design the process accordingly. Should be able to select the

right equipment types i.e. pump, exchanger, column internals etc, based on the service.

Should have a thorough working knowledge of international specifications API /

GPSA / Shell DEP, and project specifications of companies such as ADNOC / PDO /

KOC / Total / ENI, etc. Preparation of bid/project clarifications/deviations, responding to

client TQs, attending Bid Review meetings as and when required.

Preparation of bid deliverables such as process PFD, P&ID, Valve & Instrument

count, datasheets of equipment & instruments, line sizing, PSV sizing etc. Prepare RFQ

for vendor quotes as per Bid/Project AVL by preparing datasheets, attaching relevant

specifications, issuing RFQs to vendors and follow-up to ensure quotes are received in

a timely manner. Prepare clarification to offers received, ensuring bid compliance.

Issuing of RFQ to vendors to get fabrication offers of vessel, skid and piping, valves &

instruments. Co-ordinating with vendors with regular follow-up to ensure offers are

received from qualified vendors within bid timeline.

Review vendor offers received, be able to check for compliance technically and

ensure vendor offers are compliant and cost effective. Should be able to make

comparison tables for ease of bid review by business head. Should be able to

effectively manage all vendors and expedite where necessary.

Shall have working knowledge of drawing / marking-up PFDs, P&IDs of process

packages such as Separators, Filter Coalescers, Exchangers & Heaters where required

to edit drawings as necessary. Must have 2D Cad experience to be able to update

PFDs / P&IDs when required or update existing P&IDs quickly when required to meet

bid schedule.

Should be able to size separators (2Phase / 3Phase / Scrubbers / KODs etc) and

have requisite tools to accurately size and carry out any optimization where necessary

to design the most economical equipment.

Should be able to work under tight deadlines to meet bid submissions deadlines and

able to handle job responsibilities independently with little oversight being accountable

for bid deliverables and its submission within set timelines.

Should have extensive experience writing / updating proposals with a diverse array of

processing technologies relating to Oil / Gas and Produced Water with input taken from

vendor proposals as necessary to provide a detail oriented, technically superior

proposal.

Should be an expert in regular process tasks such as line sizing, preparation of

equipment list, datasheets for vessels, instruments, valves etc., PSV sizing, pump

NPSH calculations. Should have the necessary tools to carry out the sizing

independently.

Effective communication contributing towards completion of bids, co-ordinating with

other disciplines as necessary to obtain relevant information.

Some domestic and international travel is expected as part of role responsibilities.
