Project Management Officer

1. Core PMO / Project Skills

• Strong understanding of project lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring)
• Scheduling, tracking, and dependency management
• Risk and issue identification with follow-up discipline
• Experience with status reporting and dashboards

2. Tools & Data Skills

• Advanced Excel (must-have: pivots, lookups, dashboards)
• PowerPoint for leadership reporting
• Exposure to tools like MS Project / Jira / Smartsheet
• Basic data analysis mindset (not just reportinginterpreting)

3. Stakeholder & Communication

• Ability to follow up firmly without escalation
• Clear, crisp communication (written + verbal)
• Experience working with leadership / cross-functional teams
• Ability to summarize complex updates into executive-level insights

4. Business Understanding

• Should understand why projects matter, not just track tasks
• Exposure to sales, delivery, or operations is a big plus
• Ability to connect project progress to business outcomes

5. Ownership & Attitude (very important for your role)

• High accountability (doesnt wait to be told)

6. For Your Org Specifically (important)

Since you are in CEO Office + strategy:

Agile / Delivery Methodology

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) along with traditional project management
• Experience working in Agile environmentssprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives
• Ability to track sprint progress, velocity, and backlog health
• Familiarity with tools like Jira / Azure DevOps
• Ability to work with Product Owners and Scrum Masters and ensure alignment between business and delivery
• Understanding of Agile metrics (burndown charts, velocity, cycle time)

Experience in reporting to leadership

Ability to prepare review decks (CEO/MD level)

Understanding of pipeline, revenue tracking, or operations

Comfortable working across teams (sales, delivery, finance)
