Project Engineer

Position: Project Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation

Experience: 35 Years

Location: Mumbai

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Project Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) who will handle project engineering activities including preparation of technical documents, equipment selection, coordination with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the project scope and coordinate with internal departments for smooth project execution.
• Prepare and review technical documents such as P&ID, SLD, Control Philosophy, Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable Schedule, JB Schedule, and Bill of Materials.
• Develop instrumentation engineering documents like loop wiring diagrams, hook-up drawings, installation drawings, and cable block diagrams.
• Prepare instrument location layouts, cable routing layouts, and control panel drawings.
• Select electrical equipment and instruments such as motors, actuators, control valves, solenoid valves, and control panels as per project or tender specifications.
• Prepare datasheets and design calculations for motors, instruments, and other selected equipment.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams for technical discussions, drawing approvals, and project updates.
• Arrange technical meetings and site visits for document approvals and project discussions.
• Prepare and submit project schedules, drawing lists, document lists, BOM, and weekly/monthly progress reports to clients.
• Identify potential project issues or delays and report them to management in advance.
• Support the marketing/proposal team by reviewing technical specifications and assisting in equipment selection during project proposals.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors, issue Purchase Orders (PO) and Work Orders (WO), and verify work completion before releasing payments.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering documents
• Understanding of P&ID and SLD
• Preparation of datasheets, schedules, and technical documents
• Vendor and client coordination
