Role Summary

We are looking for a Project Engineer Infotainment Displays to drive the development, testing, and delivery of advanced infotainment and multimedia features. This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role

The ER&D function at Tata Technologies is rapidly growing and supports global clients on cutting-edge automotive programs. This role focuses on cockpit electronics and infotainment display systems, contributing to next-generation vehicle experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate suppliers for display systems development
• Define and drive the roadmap for future automotive display technologies
• Develop detailed system specifications for infotainment displays
• Lead integration of displays with overall vehicle architecture
• Ensure delivery within timelines, cost, and quality targets
• Monitor and report project status, risks, and issues
• Drive DFMEA, DVP, and vehicle validation activities
• Ensure production readiness and support product launches
• Conduct vehicle testing with latest infotainment features
• Perform root cause analysis for hardware/software issues
• Track defects and generate test reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for issue resolution
• Support mechanical integration within vehicle interiors
• Own performance and quality of display systems

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in automotive displays development (mechanical/electrical/electronic systems)
• Strong understanding of V-Model development lifecycle
• Experience in system requirements, test case creation, and validation
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet and tools like CANoe/CANalyzer
• Experience with DFMEA and fault finding methodologies
• Hands-on experience in hardware design and testing
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field

Good to Have

• Experience in infotainment systems (Displays, HMI, Control Units)
• Knowledge of vehicle-level system integration
• Experience in HMI system testing
• Understanding of A-surface and perceived quality
