The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 

 
As a Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: 

  • Leading complex, global, cross-functional IT strategic programs by developing integrated project plans, linking execution activities to business objectives, and ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and outcomes are actively managed. 

  • Applying broad IT delivery experience and structured problem-solving to address non-routine and difficult program challenges, assess options, interpret complex information, and drive practical solutions across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups. 

  • Providing consulting support and decision-ready recommendations to PMO and IT leadership by synthesizing program health, trade-offs, risks, financial/resource impacts, stakeholder considerations, and escalation needs into clear executive-level communications. 

  • Advanced communication skills to be able to influence internal and external stakeholders across IT functions, vendors, and business partners to align priorities, manage differing perspectives, remove barriers, and maintain execution momentum without direct people-management authority 

  • Ability to manage conversations with senior stakeholders across IT and business and drive decision making, progress 

  • Understanding of Technology landscape, ability to interpret program technical scope, cross functional nuances, connectivity across different technologies, functionality required from business and technical reason behind blockers, delays, solutions 

  • Strong program management fundamentals around charters, workplans, RAID, dependency logs, intake tools 

  • Foundational understanding IT financials (costing, budgeting, actuals tracking) 

  • Supporting US, and EU stakeholder collaboration enabling effective program governance, leadership updates, and cross-time-zone execution. 

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires at a minimum the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline  and 7-10 years of experience in IT Consulting, IT project management, program management, technology delivery, PMO, IT transformation, business analysis, or related information technology roles. 

 

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: 

  • Experience leading complex IT projects or programs across multiple workstreams, functions, locations, vendors, or stakeholder groups, with accountability for project plans, outcomes, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and decision tracking. 

  • Demonstrated ability to write and manage integrated project plans that connect program activities to business strategies, stakeholder needs, delivery goals, and measurable outcomes. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting complex information, evaluating options, managing non-routine challenges, and developing recommendations for leadership review. 

  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder influence skills, including the ability to simplify complex messages, manage differing perspectives, and drive action across functional boundaries. 

  • Hands-on experience with program delivery, reporting, and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and Jira 

  • Flexibility to manage stakeholders across US and EU for collaboration 

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline 

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, Smartsheet, Power BI, or related project/program management certification. 

  • Experience leading global cross-functional, multi-faceted IT initiatives in a matrixed enterprise environment. 

  • Experience supporting strategic IT programs across more than one IT domain, such as applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, digital, ERP, M&A, separation, or business technology. 

  • Experience providing consulting assistance to senior management, preparing leadership-ready recommendations, and presenting program updates to department heads, functional leaders, or business stakeholders. 

  • Skills include structured problem-solving, project leadership, executive communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, planning, negotiation, adaptability, ownership mindset, and disciplined execution. 

 

 Work location:  

  • Hybrid Eligible  

Domestic Travel: May include up to 20%
