Job Summary

Aquasense is setting up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for:

• Ultrasonic Flow Meters
• Electromagnetic Flow Meters
• Smart Water Meters (AMR / AMI GPRS, LoRa WAN)
• IoT-based Controllers (ATBC, AquaTank, AquaCharge ecosystem)

We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager who can build, scale, and optimize precision electronics manufacturing, along with calibration labs and certification processes.

This is a foundational leadership roleyou will be responsible for setting up manufacturing systems from scratch and scaling them.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Setup & Scale-Up

• Establish end-to-end manufacturing lines for:

-Electronics assembly (controllers, communication modules)

-Flow meters (ultrasonic & electromagnetic)

-Smart metering devices

• Design and implement:

-SOPs for assembly, testing, and packaging

-Production workflows (IQC Assembly Testing FQC)

• Drive yield improvement, cost optimization, and throughput enhancement

2. Calibration Lab Setup & Management (CRITICAL)

• Design and establish flow meter calibration systems, including:

-Volumetric calibration rigs

-Gravimetric calibration systems (advanced stage)

-Reference master meters (traceable standards)

• Develop calibration procedures for:

-Flow, pressure, and level measurement devices

• Ensure traceability to NABL / ISO standards
• Build capability for a future NABL-accredited calibration lab (ISO 17025)

3. Certification & Regulatory Compliance

• Lead certification processes for products, including:

-BIS Certification

-Legal Metrology (Model Approval for billing meters)

-WPC certification (for wireless devices GPRS, LoRa WAN)

• Liaise with:

-Government bodies

-Testing laboratories

-Certification agencies

4. Quality Assurance & Reliability

• Implement end-to-end quality systems:

-Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

-In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

-Final Quality Control (FQC)

• Lead:

-Failure analysis (RCA)

-Product reliability improvements (IP rating, corrosion resistance, field durability)

• Establish testing protocols for:

-Environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, vibration)

5. Smart Meter & IoT Integration Manufacturing

• Oversee integration of:

-Communication modules (GPRS, LoRa WAN)

-Embedded firmware testing

• Ensure seamless production-readiness of:

-AMR / AMI systems

-IoT-enabled devices with cloud connectivity

6. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

• Manage BOM planning and vendor development
• Optimize procurement and inventory levels
• Ensure the availability of critical components for uninterrupted production

7. Production MIS & Continuous Improvement

• Implement production tracking systems (ERP / dashboards)
• Monitor KPIs:

-Production output

-Rejection rates

-Calibration accuracy

Required Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field

Experience

• 815 years in:

-Electronics manufacturing

-Precision instrumentation/flow meters / industrial sensors

• Proven experience in:

-Setting up or scaling manufacturing units

-Calibration processes for flow/pressure/level instruments

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with:

-Flow meter production (Ultrasonic / Electromagnetic preferred)

-Calibration systems & accuracy validation

• Strong knowledge of:

-BIS certification

-Legal Metrology (Model Approval)

-ISO 9001, ISO 17025 standards

-NABL calibration practices

Good to Have

• Experience with smart metering (AMR / AMI systems)
• Exposure to IoT devices and communication protocols (GPRS, LoRaWAN)
• Experience in NABL lab setup or accreditation
