About the role

As Product Owner for Swasth AI, you'll sit at the intersection of engineering, field operations, and customer impact. You'll own the product backlog, translate real-world infrastructure problems into actionable user stories, and work hand-in-hand with our engineering team to ship features that utilities and city planners actually use. This is not a coordination role. You'll be a decision-maker setting priorities, challenging assumptions, and holding the bar for quality and user value.

What You'll Own

Product Strategy & Backlog

Own and continuously refine the product backlog, ensuring every item is well-defined, prioritized, and tied to real user value

Translate field visits, customer conversations, and data into crisp epics and user stories the team can act on immediately

Define and track KPIs that actually measure whether the product is working not just whether it shipped Cross-Functional Leadership

Be the connective tissue between engineering, operations, sales, and the end users in the field

Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives that energize the team rather than drain it

Communicate product direction clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences including leadership Delivery & Execution

Drive Agile ceremonies using SAFe or Scrum, ensuring the team moves fast without breaking trust

Proactively surface risks and blockers and come with a proposed path forward, not just a flag

Travel to customer sites when needed to gather ground-truth requirements; infrastructure problems can't always be understood from a desk

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

35 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a product-based company or startup Proven ability to own a backlog end-to-end in an Agile environment (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban)

Strong communication skills you write clearly, present confidently, and listen carefully

Data-driven mindset: you make decisions backed by evidence, not gut instinct alone

Technical acumen sufficient to have credible conversations with engineers about architecture and trade-offs

Great to Have

Experience with pipeline, utilities, water/wastewater, or smart city infrastructure

Product Owner or Project Management certification (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, PMI-ACP)

Background in product marketing or go-to-market strategy Experience managing multiple products simultaneously
