Position Summary

The Product Engineer will be responsible for handling imported GSM/SIP gateway devices, testing hardware communication, configuring IVR systems, managing SIP setup, supporting software integration, and assisting with client deployment.

The role requires coordination between hardware devices and desktop software to ensure smooth IVR operation and stable call routing.

This position plays a key role in product development, deployment, and long-term maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Device Testing
  • Analyze GSM/SIP gateway devices
  • Verify USB and LAN communication support
  • Check SIP capability, IVR support, and device compatibility
  • Validate imported devices before deployment
  • Supplier Coordination
  • Coordinate with suppliers for technical documentation
  • Collect API details, firmware information, protocol documentation, and device specifications
  • Verify imported product quality and compatibility
  • IVR and SIP Configuration
  • Configure SIP registration and extensions
  • Setup IVR flows such as Press 1 / Press 2 routing
  • Validate DTMF functionality
  • Test call routing and welcome message playback
  • Device Communication and Troubleshooting
  • Test LAN communication using browser, Postman, SSH, and Telnet
  • Test USB communication using COM ports and serial tools
  • Troubleshoot device detection and communication issues
  • Software Support
  • Work closely with development team for hardware-software integration
  • Support desktop software testing and validation
  • Verify system stability and device communication
  • Client Installation and Deployment
  • Install and configure devices at client locations
  • Setup IVR system and validate routing
  • Provide technical support and AMC maintenance
  • Quality Assurance
  • Perform testing for call quality, signal strength, SIM detection, and routing stability
  • Ensure reliable product performance before client delivery


Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Electronics and Communication concepts
  • Knowledge of SIP, VoIP, PBX, and IVR systems
  • Understanding of GSM Gateway devices
  • Knowledge of DTMF and call routing
  • Networking fundamentals (IP, LAN, Static IP, Ports)
  • Understanding of USB and COM Port communication
  • Basic Linux/Ubuntu knowledge
  • API testing using Postman
  • Device testing using PuTTY

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Asterisk PBX
  • Knowledge of Telnet and SSH
  • Experience with GSM/SIP gateway devices
  • Understanding of hardware-software integration
  • Experience in telephony or telecom-based projects


Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
  • Electronics and Telecommunication
  • Instrumentation and Communication
  • Related technical background preferred


Experience Preferred:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in telecom, hardware testing, VoIP, IVR systems, PBX, or product engineering roles
  • Freshers with strong practical knowledge in SIP, networking, and hardware troubleshooting may also be considered.


Salary Range:

Upto 35,000/month
