Company Description

We're building Ecolink, a client-facing intelligence platform for textile supply chain professionals. Think of costing engines, fibre quality scoring tools, and traceability modules that are presented to international trading houses and institutional buyers during actual negotiations.

This isn't a support role or a ticket-execution job. You'd be the core engineer owning modules end-to-end, from a half-written brief to a polished, demo-ready tool.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position located in Coimbatore for a Product Engineer, with Decision Tools and Supply Chain Intelligence. The candidate will design, develop, and implement AI solutions, focusing on models for material prediction, sustainability analysis, and production optimization in the textile industry. The role involves researching AI methodologies, converting brieefs to practical, usable tools, building machine learning models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify technical and practical requirements. The engineer will also monitor the performance of systems and implement improvements for enhanced reliability and precision in industrial applications.

What You'll Actually Build

• Dynamic costing calculators with live inputs ICE futures, freight, customs duty, multi-origin benchmarking
• Fibre quality intelligence modules IPI scoring, bale mix indexing, yarn quality benchmarks across 13+ fibre varieties
• Supplier and origin comparison interfaces built for non-technical buyers to use without training
• A modular architecture that can scale from standalone HTML tools to a data-connected platform

Qualifications

• Expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI models
• Skills in programming languages like Python, R, or similar, and familiarity with AI/ML libraries and frameworks
• Understanding of production systems and material science, especially in the context of the textile industry, is a plus
• Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to conduct independent research
• Diligent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• Master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Fresh Graduates welcome to apply as well

What We're Looking For

• Strong in vanilla JS, HTML/CSS you can build a clean, functional tool without reaching for a framework that doesn't need one
• You think in formulas and data structures weighted scoring, conditional logic, and multi-variable calculations feel natural to you
• You've shipped something end-to-end solo not just contributed to a sprint, but owned a deliverable from blank page to working product
• You write code someone else can read and extend documentation and structure matter to you
• You're comfortable working from evolving specs you ask the right questions rather than waiting for everything to be figured out for you
• Enough data awareness to build clean today and architect for growth tomorrow

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with external API integrations (commodity price feeds, freight rate APIs)
• Exposure to any supply chain, agri-commodity, or manufacturing domain
• Interest in how AI and pattern recognition could layer onto structured industrial data over time
