Job Description
Role Overview
Seeking an R&D Process Engineer with experience in composite manufacturing and process development for aerospace applications. The role involves process execution, material validation, testing, and cross-functional coordination for new product and process development.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and validate composite manufacturing processes including:
- Filament winding (roving, slit tape, tow prepreg)
- Prepreg lamination and curing process optimization
- Support new material validation for resins and prepregs
- Conduct operational trials and process improvement activities
- Evaluate composite test samples and identify defects
- Prepare trial reports, process documentation, and validation records
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams for project execution
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to NPD/R&D in vacuum bagging or prepreg composite manufacturing
- Hands-on experience in filament winding processes
- Knowledge of resin formulation for CFRP composite manufacturing
- Awareness of composite testing standards and defect analysis
Qualification: M.Tech Chemical / Plastics / Composites / Material Science Engineering
