Principal Frontend Engineer

Principal Engineer Frontend | Betting & Gaming | Hyderabad (Hybrid)

We're hiring a Principal Frontend Engineer to own the architecture and evolution of high-traffic, low-latency web applications in the online betting and gaming space. This is a hands-on technical leadership role you'll shape frontend strategy, drive modernization, and mentor engineers, while still writing and reviewing code daily.

What you'll do

You'll lead the architectural direction of our frontend systems, making the critical calls on performance, scalability, and developer experience. You'll partner with Product and Engineering leadership to break down complex requirements into shippable MVPs, own the RFC/ADR documentation process, and proactively resolve bottlenecks across the client-side stack. You'll also mentor senior engineers and help raise the hiring bar.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years in frontend engineering with experience owning system design end-to-end
• Deep Angular expertise (v10+), TypeScript, RxJS, and state management (NgRx or similar)
• Strong grasp of frontend performance tuning, caching, and building for high-frequency/low-latency
• Comfortable integrating with Java/Spring Boot backends via RESTful APIs and microservices
• CI/CD fluency Git, containerized deployments, Kubernetes (Helm/Kustomize)
• Security-aware: Authn/Authz patterns, TLS, secure token handling
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and end-to-end tracing on the client side
• Strong Agile practitioner with solid testing discipline (Jasmine, Karma, or equivalent)

Nice to have

• Background in betting, gaming, or other high-volume transactional platforms
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
