About Position:

This role is for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA specializing in cloud migration and AWS RDS environments. You will be responsible for designing, migrating, and managing highperformance, scalable database systems while ensuring reliability, security, and compliance. The position requires both strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver robust database solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and execute database migrations from Oracle to AWS RDS PostgreSQL, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
• Administer and manage PostgreSQL databases across multiple environments (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod)
• Implement and optimize replication, performance tuning, and scalability strategies
• Review, validate, and optimize DDL/DML scripts and SQL queries
• Manage database deployment, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database performance and replication issues
• Ensure adherence to security, governance, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and cloud teams to support application and analytics needs

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration and Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations
• Proficiency in AWS RDS PostgreSQL, including monitoring, scaling, and optimization
• Advanced skills in SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization
• Solid understanding of replication, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
• Experience working in cloud and hybrid environments with modern data platforms
• Knowledge of database security, access control, and compliance best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to mentor and guide teams, ensuring high-quality database solutions and standards
