Job Title: Post Quantum cryptographer
A Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Network Security specialist designs, implements, and manages quantum-resistant algorithms (like CRYSTALS-Kyber/Dilithium) to protect digital infrastructure against future quantum computer attacks. Responsibilities include migrating legacy systems, assessing cryptographic risks, and ensuring NIST compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- PQC Migration: Identify, prioritize, and migrate existing cryptographic assets (keys, certificates, protocols) to post-quantum algorithms.
- Algorithm Implementation: Develop, implement, and benchmark quantum-safe cryptographic algorithms in software or hardware environments.
- Security Assessment: Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analyses on network infrastructure against potential quantum threats.
- Research & Standards: Stay updated on evolving NIST PQC standards and apply them to the organizations security architecture.
- Collaboration: Work with security, enterprise architecture, and IT teams to integrate quantum-resistant security measures into products.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Experience: 35+ years in information security, network security, or cryptographic system design.
- Skills: Strong understanding of lattice-based cryptography, hash-based signatures, quantum computing threats, and cryptographic protocols (TLS/SSL).
- Certifications: CISSP or CISM are highly valued.
