Development Portfolio Management Associate


Job Summary

The Development Portfolio Management Associate supports the execution and implementation of the Companys strategies and programs that drive the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of development assets across multiple investment vehicles. The associate is responsible for gathering and analyzing market and portfolio data, supporting financial modeling and investment analysis, identifying opportunities to improve operational performance, and contributing to reporting and program management activities that support the day-to-day oversight of the portfolio.


We are seeking someone who can step into a newly established role and help build processes and reporting from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be able to understand broader strategic objectives while maintaining strong attention to detail and consistently delivering high-quality work.


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain and update asset-level financial models used to project future cash flows, support asset valuation, and produce investment return metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials and deliverables for presentations to internal committees, institutional investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on financial and operational performance across the portfolio and help identify opportunities for asset-level operational improvements.
  • Conduct financial analysis of owned investments, including building detailed financial models and go-forward analysis. Gather, compile, and analyze market data to identify potential hold/sell/refinance opportunities and prepare investment reports related to investments.
  • Support and participate in ad hoc projects across the broader Investment Management organization as they arise.
  • Collaborate with teams across Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Development, and Project Finance.
  • Assist in designing and developing new reports and dashboards to efficiently communicate financial results to management and the broader Portfolio Management team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills, with experience working with multiple datasets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Effective communicator who is comfortable discussing results with a variety of business stakeholders.
  • Strong client focus, maintaining responsiveness and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and strong internal controls.
