Job Description

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

Dhruva Space is seeking a motivated and skilled High-Speed PCB Design Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of complex multi-layer printed circuit boards involving high-speed digital, RF, and mixed-signal systems. This role requires strong expertise in high-speed PCB layout techniques, signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations, along with close collaboration across cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable and high-performance hardware solutions for advanced aerospace applications.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop complex multi-layer PCBs (414 layers) for high-speed digital, RF, and mixed-signal applications.
  • Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using tools such as Altium Designer.
  • Implement controlled impedance routing, differential pair routing, length matching, and stack-up planning.
  • Work on high-speed interfaces including DDR3/DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, USB 3.x, Ethernet, LVDS, SERDES, RF, and FPGA-based systems.
  • Conduct Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis using tools such as HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave, or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with PCB fabrication vendors for stack-up definition and manufacturing optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards and support pre-compliance testing activities.
  • Perform design reviews, DFM/DFT checks, and support PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Generate fabrication and assembly documentation including Gerber files, ODB++, BOMs, and IPC-compliant deliverables.
  • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for successful product integration.
  • Support board bring-up, debugging, validation, and testing activities for complex hardware systems.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or ECE.
  • 4 6 years of experience in high-speed PCB design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed PCB layout techniques, controlled impedance routing, differential pairs, and stack-up design.
  • Experience working with DDR3/DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, USB 3.x, Ethernet, LVDS, SERDES, RF, and FPGA systems.
  • Hands-on experience in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices, grounding techniques, and pre-compliance testing.
  • Experience with PCB fabrication processes, DFM/DFT methodologies, and IPC standards.
  • Ability to generate fabrication and assembly documentation packages including Gerbers and ODB++.
  • Experience with RF and mixed-signal PCB designs is preferred.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, defence, telecom, or high-performance computing industries is preferred.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams.
