Part-Time Badminton Coach / Part-Time Squash Coach

Work Schedule: 2 days per week (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Reporting To: Director of Beyond Academics and Sports/ Head - BA (YPR)

Campus: Inventure Academy, Yeshwanthpur


Role Overview

We are looking for passionate and skilled Part-Time Badminton and Squash Coaches to train and mentor students while fostering sportsmanship, discipline, and overall well-being. The coach will work with students across age groups and support their technical, physical, and personal development through structured training sessions.


Roles and Responsibilities

Coaching and Mentoring

  • Train and mentor students in Badminton / Squash, focusing on skill development, technique, and game understanding.
  • Plan and conduct structured training sessions aligned with students age and skill levels.
  • Identify talented students and provide focused, individual guidance to help them progress.
  • Offer regular, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Encourage discipline, teamwork, fair play, and a positive sporting attitude.
  • Holistic Development

    • Promote overall physical fitness, including stamina, agility, and injury prevention.
    • Guide students on maintaining healthy routines, including rest, recovery, and mental well-being.
    • Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all learners.


    Tracking and Evaluation

    • Assess student progress periodically and maintain basic performance records.
    • Use observations and simple evaluation metrics to adapt training approaches when needed.


    Collaboration and Communication

    • Work closely with the Director of Beyond Academics and Sports and the BA Head - YPR to align training with school goals.
    • Coordinate with other sports coaches and staff for events, matches, and tournaments.
    • Communicate relevant feedback on student progress and participation when required.


    Key Requirements

    • Prior coaching or playing experience in Badminton / Squash.
    • Ability to work with school-age children and young adults.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to working 2 days per week on a consistent basis.
    • Coaching certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
