Position: Optimization Scientist (Quantum inspired technologies)

About us: We are Quarki-Tech, a quantum-algorithm start-up incubated under the aegis of the IIT Madras Incubation Cell and supported by the National Quantum Mission through Samngya, its Communication Hub. We are looking for a researcher to work in the field of optimization.

Requirements: The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline, preferably in computational physics; postdoctoral experience is highly desirable. Candidates currently pursuing a Ph.D. who can meaningfully contribute to the role are also encouraged to apply. They should possess strong expertise in convex optimization methodologies, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, and C++. The candidate is expected to work independently while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes both senior researchers and junior research interns. A willingness to engage at the intersection of quantum and classical optimization approaches is essential. The work will focus on developing advanced algorithms aimed at solving complex problems in logistics, supply chain management, and resource allocation.
