Vending machines extend the Kaapi Stop experience to offices, campuses, and public spaces, while coffee powder enables customers to recreate the same taste at home. With quality-first systems across 10 and growing locations, Kaapi Stop is positioned as a specialist in South Indian filter coffee and caf operations.
Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem, responsible for overseeing day-to-day caf operations across multiple locations. This role includes managing outlet performance, ensuring product quality and service standards, and coordinating supply chain and inventory for beverages, food items, and bakery products. The Operations Manager will supervise and support outlet teams, schedule staff, and implement training and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency across formats. The role also involves monitoring sales and costs, optimizing processes, and supporting expansion plans while maintaining compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company policies. Collaboration with leadership on operational improvements and customer experience initiatives is a key part of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong operations and process management skills, including experience with multi-location retail or caf operations.
- Ability to manage teams effectively, including staff scheduling, performance monitoring, and training.
- Proficiency in inventory control, vendor coordination, and basic supply chain management.
- Comfort with using POS systems, basic data analysis for sales and cost tracking, and operational reporting.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance requirements in the food & beverages industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, management, and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in cafs, restaurants, or QSR operations; experience in coffee or bakery operations is an advantage.
- Bachelors degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to be on-site across outlets in Salem and travel frequently as required.
