Job Description – OpenText VIM Consultant

Role: OpenText VIM Consultant / Senior Consultant

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Consultant to implement, enhance, and support SAP‑integrated invoice automation solutions. The role involves close collaboration with SAP Finance/AP teams and business stakeholders to streamline vendor invoice processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support OpenText VIM solutions integrated with SAP ECC / S/4HANA.
• Configure VIM components including:
  • Invoice types
  • Approval workflows
  • Exception handling rules
  • Business rules and tolerances
• Work with PO and Non‑PO invoice processing, credit memos, and parked invoices.
• Handle invoice capture, validation, and posting processes.
• Customize and support VIM Invoice Workplace.
• Coordinate with SAP FI/MM teams for seamless integration and posting.
• Perform issue analysis, root cause identification, and production support.
• Support UAT, SIT, cutover, and go‑live activities.
• Prepare functional/technical documentation and configuration guides.
• Ensure compliance with audit and statutory requirements.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with OpenText VIM.
• Experience working with:
  • SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP FI (Accounts Payable) and basic MM concepts
• Knowledge of:
  • Invoice capture and OCR process
  • PO / Non‑PO invoice workflows
  • 2‑way / 3‑way matching
• Experience in VIM Workflow configuration.
• Understanding of SAP posting logic, tax handling, and validations.
• Ability to support production and AMS environments.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with OpenText Capture Center.
• Knowledge of SAP Archiving / OpenText Archive Center.
• Exposure to BRF+, SAP Business Workflow.
• Experience in global or high‑volume invoice processing implementations.
• Basic ABAP debugging knowledge (preferred, not mandatory).

• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Willingness to support critical business timelines and flexible hours when needed.
