Job Description

Observability Engineer

Location: Remote (anywhere from India)


Key Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in Observability and Monitoring (Server, Infrastructure, APM) is required.
  • Design, deploy, and optimise New Relic agents (Infrastructure, APM, Infrastructure Integrations) across hybrid environments (VMware VMs + Azure instances).
  • Configure and maintain AIOps (Applied Intelligence), intelligent alerting, noise reduction, and automated root-cause analysis to support NIBs tiered monitoring model.
  • Build and manage enterprise-grade dashboards, Golden Signals, SLA/SLO reports, traffic-light health views, and custom NRQL-based reporting for support, development, and management stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain key integrations including bidirectional Jira workflows, Microsoft Sentinel security data ingestion, and Azure Log Analytics (with Customer-Managed Keys).
  • Perform environment tagging, policy enforcement, cost optimisation, and capacity management to ensure efficient observability across all three monitoring tiers while supporting NIBs independent administration model.
  • Deliver hands-on training, knowledge transfer, and Train-the-Trainer sessions to customers internal team using dedicated sandbox environments, enabling full self-sufficiency in platform administration, alerting, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide ongoing optimisation, quarterly maturity assessments, and on-demand consultation to ensure long-term platform performance, cost efficiency, and alignment with evolving customers requirements.
