Job Description

Not your typical Cyber Security Internship- Stipend Paid ~Rs. 15,000 - 20,000

Bengaluru (Work from Office 4 to 5 days/week)

Australian-based Cybersecurity Venture

Part-time (~2025 hours/week)

Most cyber internships teach tools.

We care about how you think and build.

Were an early-stage Australian cybersecurity venture focused on building real-world cyber resilience systems across control implementation, attack path mapping, and structured security operations.

This is not an active SOC / red team role.

This is about building the system those teams would rely on.

Who this is for:

You might be a fit if:

  • You enjoy understanding how systems actually work (and fail)
  • You think in flows, dependencies, and cause-effect
  • Youre comfortable switching between

-technical work

-structured thinking

-documentation (Notion, playbooks, etc.)

  • Youve asked yourself:

What does this control actually do?

Would this setup hold up in a real attack?

What youll actually do:

  • Map systems, controls, and attack paths
  • Work on control implementation and validation
  • Help structure security into usable artefacts:
  • playbooks
  • SOPs
  • logic models
  • Contribute to building a repeatable security system, not just running tools

What you should bring:

  • Strong fundamentals (networking, basic security concepts)
  • Some hands-on exposure (labs, tools, projects not necessarily production-level)
  • Ability to break down problems and explain clearly
  • Comfort with reading, writing, and speaking in English
  • Curiosity > credentials

Requirements:

  • You should ideally have your own laptop
  • (If not, you can still apply explain why in your application)

Bonus points if you:

  • Have worked on small builds / scripts / projects
  • Understand logs, monitoring, or detection basics
  • Have exposure to Microsoft (M365 / Azure) or AWS environments (especially identity, configuration, or logging)
  • Have familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST) (even at a conceptual level not expected to be an expert)
  • Have a basic understanding of risk:

-what could go wrong

-what matters most

-what should be prioritised

  • Can structure ideas clearly (this matters a lot here)

This is NOT for you if:

  • Youre looking for a pure SOC / red team / tool-based role
  • You prefer clearly defined tasks with no ambiguity
  • Youre mainly focused on certifications

What youll gain:

  • Work on how security is actually built in real environments
  • Exposure to international (AU) security thinking and standards
  • Learn how to go from:

concept control implementation validation

  • Opportunity to grow into a long-term role

If youre the kind of person who looks at a system and thinks:

this works but how is it actually built whats missing and whats the real risk?
