Network Security Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Network Security Engineer for a customer-facing Resident Engineer role. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures to protect against threats. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing firewalls, monitoring network performance, conducting vulnerability assessments, and troubleshooting network security issues. If you have hands-on experience with Cisco security solutions and enjoy solving real-world network challenges, this could be a great fit.

• Provide on-site support for network security operations
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco security solutions
• Monitor and maintain firewall and security infrastructure
• Work closely with customer teams to resolve incidents and ensure uptime
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, issues, and resolutions

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Network Administration, Network Engineering, and troubleshooting
• 35 years of experience in network security
• Hands-on experience with Cisco FTD & FMC
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• Comfortable in a customer-facing role
• Experience with VPNs, IPS/IDS, or endpoint security
• Basic knowledge of security best practices & compliance
• Cisco certifications (CCNA Security / CCNP Security)
