Network Operations Center Engineer

Job Summary

The NOC L1 Engineer is responsible for real-time monitoring of telecom networks and services to ensure availability, performance, and SLA compliance. This entry-level role focuses on KPI monitoring, incident detection, initial troubleshooting, and timely escalation of network issues. The role operates in a 247 shift environment and plays a critical role in maintaining network stability and service continuity. This position provides a strong foundation for growth within telecom network operations.

Key Responsibilities-

• Monitor network elements, services, and KPIs in real time
• Identify and report alarms, alerts, and degradations
• Manage incidents/tickets as per SLA
• Perform first-level troubleshooting (SOPs)
• Escalate to L2/L3 teams
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors
• Provide timely incident updates
• Maintain records for audit
• Support 24x7 operations

Job Requirements-

• Bachelors degree in relevant field
• 23 years experience in NOC/telecom support
• Basic telecom network understanding
• Incident/ticket management exposure
• Knowledge of monitoring tools
• Understanding of SOPs and SLAs
• Strong communication skills
• Problem solving ability
• Adaptability to shift environment
• Timely incident detection
